Jennifer Ganley (Handlin)

Jennifer Ganley (Handlin)Age 38, of Abingdon, MD, died on July 20, 2008, at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She died of injuries sustained from a traffic accident.

Jennifer graduated from A.I. duPont High School in 1988 and was active in sports. She attended college at the University of Delaware, the University of Pittsburgh and was a student at Harford Community College. Jennifer's passion was advocating for children and was very active in the PTA on the local, state and national levels. Jennifer also volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America and was a very talented musician. She has worked as a server at Cracker Barrel for 7 years.

Jennifer was predeceased by her father, George Ganley. Survivors include her husband, George Handlin, Jr.; daughter, Kay-Lee Handlin; son, Patrick Handlin; step-son, George Handlin III, mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Herbert Geist; grandmother, Lucille Orris; sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Barnaby Wickham; and mother-in-law, Patricia H. Handlin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, on Friday July 25, at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 500 McKennan's Church Road, Wilmington, 19808 with burial following in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30-8:30 pm, on Thursday July 24, at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Youths Benefit Elementary School, 1901 Fallston Rd., Fallston, MD 21047.
